“The Word Of The Day Is Serve”

When most people hear the word serve, they instantly see a low-status position.

When leaders hear the word serve they sometimes think of taking care of their family, business, and/or community.

However, others also think of a time-consuming effort.

When I hear the word Serve, I think of powerful moments that change the whole trajectory of relationships, where when genuinely executed has the potential to forge relationships more than we can possibly imagine.

Here are some thoughts about the word serve when it pertains to making a difference in the world, especially if you want to experience consistent connection through your communication:

  • It shows people you genuinely care.
  • It endears people to you if you’re sincere.
  • It forges and expands your character, and helps you to become more selfless.
  • It helps people trust you, because you’ve authentically invested in them and what they care about.

The big benefit: It helps you to build a legacy.

Here’s how you can apply this to life — start serving. Ask someone in or out of your circle what they need. Ask them how you can support them. And don’t just assume what they need, that just cuts corners. Do the work..it’s worth it. And everyone benefits in the end.
